About the mahi (role)
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our Whangarei Team! We are open to applications from candidates who could be interested in relocating to the sunny Northland region!
The successful candidate will be working within our Whangarei clinic with a team of physiotherapists and occupational therapists. There are opportunities for the right person to take on more responsibility and the role is perfect for someone wanting to take the next steps of their career!
We work across a wide range of contracts with ACC, insurance providers, and employers. These include the Pain Management Contract, VRS contract, TI contract, physiotherapy services contract, concussion contract, SpineCare contracts with insurance providers, and tailored Early intervention programs.
This is a part time role based in the clinic. The preferred days of work would be Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, however for the right candidate other days may be considered. In this role, you will be reporting to the Whangarei clinic manager as well as providing support the other physiotherapists within the team, providing mentoring and an open-door policy.
Key tasks include:
Demonstrate and practice advanced levels of practice in assessing and treating patients efficiently and safely.
Responsible for ensuring all contract clinical reports and referrer letters are completed at an acceptable standard within contracted timeframes.
Liaise effectively with consultants, family doctors, case managers and co-ordinators and allied health professionals.
Provide support, supervision and training to new graduate physiotherapists and students when required.

Desired Skills and Experience
About you
Our ideal candidate will be someone who has a great attitude and shares our vision and values. Previous clinical experience of 4 or more years, a post-graduate qualification would be advantageous and experience under ACC contracts or vocational rehab would all be a plus.
Substantial orientation, training and support will be provided.
To be successful in this role you will have:

A desire to achieve clinical excellence and demonstrate leadership skills
A current practicing certificate to work in New Zealand, Full Professional Body Membership, and Full Indemnity Insurance
A full clean current driver’s licence
Bachelor’s Degree or above qualification
About the Whangarei team
Join our close-knit, fun, and laidback team at Whangarei Clinic who are extremely passionate about healthcare! Our clinic has a brand new location and new gym and is within easy walking distance to cafes and Okara shopping centre.
Our clinic was established in March 2022 to give the Whangarei community a Multi-Disciplinary Team and excellent service in rehabilitation and we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join our rapidly growing team.
