Job Description

About the mahi (role)

Be an integral part of our growing team of Hand Therapists nationwide. You could already be an existing Hand Therapist or a qualified OT or Physio who has a strong interest in Hand Therapy.

In this role you are part of an MDT service including other Hand therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, OT’s, and Specialists. 

Within this MDT approach we work with a variety of contracts including Hand Therapy, Escalated Care program, RTW program, Pain, TI contracts and Early Intervention. There is a lot of variety within your working day.

Desired Skills and Experience

About you

Substantial orientation, training and support will be provided. 

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Previous experience as a OT or Physio
  • A genuine interest in the area of hand therapy
  • A strong work ethic
  • A positive, can-do attitude 
  • A desire to achieve clinical excellence
  • Very good organisational and communication skills
  • An ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
  • An awareness of how to provide top quality customer service
  • A commitment to professional development
  • A current practicing certificate to work in New Zealand or ability to obtain registration to work in New Zealand
  • Professional Body Membership and Indemnity Insurance
  • Bachelor’s degree or above qualification
