Job Description
About the Mahi (Role)
We are looking for a talented Physiotherapist to step into a dynamic, full-time role (40 hours/week, Monday to Friday) based in our Wellington Central clinic. This is a split role – combining clinic-based physiotherapy with vocational rehabilitation in the community.
You will report to the Wellington Central Clinic Manager and work closely with both the clinic and Well at Work teams to deliver high-quality care to clients.
This role offers a great balance of hands-on clinical work and community-based rehabilitation. Key responsibilities include:
Providing comprehensive assessments and evidence-based treatment for musculoskeletal injuries and conditions
Supporting clients and employers with structured return-to-work plans
Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver integrated care
Writing high-quality clinical reports and maintaining accurate documentation
Shaping your caseload and contributing to service improvement initiatives
You will work across a variety of ACC and private contracts, including the Pain Management Service, Concussion Service, Integrated Care Pathway (ICPMSK), Training for Independence, Stay at Work, Early Intervention, and private vocational rehabilitation.
The role also offers flexibility, including options to work from home when appropriate.
About the Wellington Central Team
Our Wellington Central clinic brings together a diverse and skilled multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, vocational therapists, hand therapists, occupational therapists, and psychologists. We maintain strong collaborative relationships with local pain and orthopaedic specialists to provide coordinated, comprehensive care for our clients.
We’re proud of our achievements in the equity space and remain committed to enhancing our cultural capability through partnerships with Māori health providers and local iwi.
Situated in the heart of the CBD and overlooking Wellington’s stunning waterfront, the clinic offers a vibrant, supportive, and social team culture. With daily morning tea quizzes and regular social events, you’ll join a team that values connection, community, and a bit of fun.
