About the mahi (role)
Are you a passionate and motivated Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist with a keen interest in occupational health and vocational rehabilitation?
We’re looking for a dynamic clinician to join our supportive team in Palmerston North. In this role, you’ll deliver a range of Well at Work services across the Manawatū region – helping people stay healthy, manage pain, and return to work safely. Depending on your experience, you’ll receive extensive mentoring and training to help you thrive.
You’ll also have the chance to work across vocational and community contracts, offering real variety in your day-to-day mahi.
We are looking for someone to commence this role in October 2025. This is a full-time position, but we’re open to part-time arrangements for the right person.
Your day to day tasks will be:
Completing workplace assessments for return to work following illness or injury.
Providing patient education, training, treatment, and rehabilitation in a variety of community and workplace settings.
Liaise with external partners such as specialists, general practitioners, and employers to ensure smooth rehabilitation for the client.
You will have the flexibility to complete administration and documentation tasks from home.

Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Our ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or Physiotherapy and at least two years of clinical experience. A postgraduate qualification is a bonus but not required. A willingness to work towards one is expected.

You’ll join a close-knit team of experienced physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, hand therapists, a nurse practitioner, dietitian, and more. We’re proud of our strong links with local pain, MSK, and orthopaedic specialists.
