Job Description

About the mahi (role)

One of our Physiotherapists is heading off to explore new opportunities, so we’re looking for an experienced Senior Physiotherapist to join our friendly Rotorua team.

Our clinic currently includes senior Occupational Therapists and senior Physiotherapists working across hospital and community settings. With extensive training and support, you’ll primarily deliver Med Fee physiotherapy services, with opportunities to work across a wide range of contracts, including:

  • Functional return-to-work rehabilitation
  • Pain rehabilitation
  • Training for Independence
  • Concussion services
  • Physiotherapy services for Southern Cross Hospital (including rostered weekend work)

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

You’ll bring a minimum of four years’ clinical experience and ideally an interest in musculoskeletal physiotherapy. Experience in pain management, vocational rehabilitation, or concussion is advantageous but not essential.

We’re looking for someone with:

  • A genuine interest in MSK physiotherapy and openness to developing vocational/community skills
  • A strong work ethic and positive, can-do attitude
  • Commitment to clinical excellence and ongoing professional development
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A customer-focused approach to care
  • Current NZ Annual Practising Certificate, professional membership & indemnity insurance
  • Full, clean driver licence
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

Substantial orientation, training, and ongoing support will be provided.
