About the mahi (role)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Senior Physiotherapist to join our growing Hospital and Community Rehabilitation team in Wellington. This is a full-time role offering variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to work within a highly experienced interdisciplinary team.
With comprehensive training and support, you will deliver a broad range of community-based and private hospital physiotherapy services. The role offers flexibility to manage your own diary, with administration and documentation able to be completed from home—supporting a healthy work–life balance.
You will provide services under a range of ACC contracts (including Training for Independence, SRNA, SOLORA, and Concussion) as well as private community work. You’ll work toward achievable KPIs that reflect quality client outcomes and professional development.
This role reports to the Regional Hospital and Community Services Manager and is an integral part of both the Wellington multidisciplinary team and the National Hospital and Community Rehabilitation Team. The successful candidate can be based anywhere in the Wellington region.
Key responsibilities include:
Completing private and ACC-funded physiotherapy assessments
Delivering client-centred treatment, rehabilitation, and education in community settings
Providing physiotherapy services within private hospitals
Delivering patient assessments, treatment, and manual handling training for staff in aged care facilities and private hospitals
Liaising with external stakeholders such as GPs, specialists, and ACC to support rehabilitation outcomes
Completing documentation and administrative tasks remotely
Contributing to the growth and development of TBI Health’s community rehabilitation services in Wellington
Working collaboratively within a supportive, experienced team
Maintaining high standards of clinical care while meeting service KPIs
Desired Skills and Experience
About you
The ideal candidate will be someone who has a great attitude and shares our vision and values.
The applicant requires a minimum of 4-years clinical experience.
Substantial orientation, training and support will be provided.
