Job Description

About the mahi (role)

We’re excited to welcome a passionate and motivated Neuropsychologist to our dynamic team! With the current neuropsychologist going on parental leave and an increasing waitlist, there is a fantastic opportunity for you to join us on permanent full-time basis.

In this role, you’ll be a key member of our interdisciplinary rehabilitation team, providing services under ACC contracts (including Neuropsychological Assessment Services and Concussion) and, to a lesser extent, private community work. You’ll primarily be completing neuropsychological assessments, reports, concussion screens, and case reviews for clients referred under these contracts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality neuropsychology/psychology services to TBI Health clients and stakeholders.
  • Complete all contract clinical reports and referrer letters within contracted timeframes and to an acceptable standard.
  • Assist in the development and support of a national network of psychologists.
  • Liaise with external partners (e.g., specialists, GPs, ACC) to support client rehabilitation.
  • Collaborate within a supportive, experienced team.
  • Maintain high standards of client care while meeting service KPIs.
  • Stay up to date with professional development and legislative requirements related to safe and professional practice standards.
  • Adhere to professional body code of conduct.

Desired Skills and Experience

About You

We’re looking for someone who brings both passion and expertise to this role. You’ll have:

  • A Master’s degree in Psychology.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in neuropsychological assessment.
  • ACC experience is preferred but not required.
  • A current Annual Practising Certificate.
  • Active membership with a professional body.
  • Current indemnity insurance.
  • Strong communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience providing supervision and mentorship to junior psychologists.
  • Strong organisational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • A high level of computer literacy, particularly in Microsoft Office, Teams, and Word.
  • Comfort with quickly learning new systems and processes.
