Job Description
About the Mahi (Role)
We are seeking a full-time Physiotherapist to join our Newtown clinic, working Monday to Friday (40 hours per week). With our recent move within Southern Cross, an additional treatment room and increasing demand in the Newtown area have created an exciting opportunity to grow this role.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team alongside a highly regarded network of specialists, delivering high-quality, patient-centred care.
You will be part of a small, close-knit team in Newtown, while also being connected to our larger Wellington Central clinic. Together, this wider team includes physiotherapists, hand therapists, and administrators who collaborate closely to support excellent clinical outcomes and provide a strong professional network.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of our presence in the Newtown community. You will play a key part in service development and promotion, while building and maintaining strong relationships with local referrers, including specialists, GPs, and nurse practitioners.
Your clinical focus will be on delivering comprehensive assessments and tailored treatment plans that meet the individual needs of each client, ensuring a high standard of care and positive patient outcomes.
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
You will hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physiotherapy and bring at least 1 year of clinical experience in a musculoskeletal setting. A genuine interest in outpatient musculoskeletal rehabilitation is essential.

Current New Zealand practising certificate and indemnity insurance
Strong organisational and time management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while also working independently

The ability to build rapport with a diverse population
A strong work ethic and initiative

Proficiency in email and Microsoft Teams
