About the Mahi (role)
Join our central Auckland clinic team as a registered Clinical or Health psychologist.
Are you passionate about helping people regain their independence and rebuild confidence? Join our central Auckland clinic team and support clients across the lifespan, from those recovering from injury to those managing persistent pain.
In this role, you will work with a supportive, medium-sized team of allied health clinicians, located just a short distance from Cornwall Park. This is a part-time position, offering flexibility in working hours and days, with the option to work from home on occasion.
You will contribute to various contracts, including Pain Management, Training for Independence, Integrated Care Pathway, and Psychology Services.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough assessments and make evidence-based recommendations
Provide clear, written and verbal reports with treatment goals and rationales
Deliver effective psychology interventions to TBI Health clients
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team (MDT) members
Ensure all clinical reports and referrer letters meet contractual standards and deadlines

Desired Skills and Experience
About you
You must be a qualified Clinical or Health Psychologist with a Postgraduate Degree (Masters/Doctorate in Psychology or equivalent) and registration with the New Zealand Psychologist Board.
Two years of clinical experience is desirable but not essential. It is expected that the successful applicant would be willing to work towards a post-graduate qualification.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant post-graduate qualification in Psychology, and current registration with the New Zealand Psychologists Board as a Psychologist or Clinical Psychologist
Current Annual Practicing Certificate and full membership with a professional body, full Indemnity Insurance
Ideally, 2+ years’ experience with familiarity in ACC contracts (not essential)
An interest or experience in pain management and rehabilitation
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
Strong time management and written documentation skills
A respectful, values-led approach with a commitment to diversity and professional ethics
The ability to manage an independent caseload
A willingness to learn and grow – with full training, orientation, and ongoing support provided
