About the Mahi (Role)
Our Queenstown Clinic is looking for a motivated Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Central Otago team. This opportunity has arisen due to a valued team member returning overseas.
This role offers the best of both worlds, a varied and rewarding rehabilitation caseload alongside the incredible lifestyle Central Otago is known for. Based in our modern Queenstown clinic, located beside Southern Cross Hospital and other health professionals, you will enjoy a balance of clinic and community-based work within a supportive and experienced multidisciplinary team.
You will work alongside physiotherapists, psychologists, and allied health professionals to deliver high-quality rehabilitation services across a range of ACC, private, and insurance contracts, including Pain Management, Concussion, Training for Independence, Stay at Work, Back to Work, Integrated Care Pathways, and Assessment Services.
In this role, you will:
Deliver rehabilitation, education, and treatment within clinic, workplace, and community settings.
Complete workplace assessments and support safe return-to-work planning.
Liaise with GPs, specialists, employers, and key stakeholders to achieve positive client outcomes.
Mentor and support junior team members within a collaborative team environment.
Contribute to the ongoing development of services across the Central Otago region.
This is a full-time role (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, with flexibility to manage your own diary and work autonomously. Community travel throughout Central Otago is included, with opportunities to shape your caseload around your clinical interests.

Desired Skills and Experience
About You
We are looking for someone with:
A Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy and a minimum of 4 – 6 years of clinical experience in New Zealand
A current full practicing certificate for Occupational Therapy in New Zealand, Professional Body Membership, and Indemnity Insurance
Experience being a key worker for pain, concussion, TI or ICP contracts would be a bonus
A genuine interest in rehabilitation and a strong commitment to clinical excellence
Excellent problem-solving skills, a positive attitude, and a strong work ethic
Great organisational and communication skills
The ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
A commitment to professional development and ongoing learning
A current, full, clean New Zealand driver’s license.
