About the Mahi (Role)
Ready to step up in your clinical career and take on a leadership role without stepping away from the work you love?
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to step into an exciting Clinic Manager role at our Invercargill clinic. This hybrid position keeps you clinically active (0.6 FTE) while giving you meaningful leadership responsibility (0.4 FTE) across the Southland region.
You will lead a small, close-knit team of 3 Physiotherapists, 1 Occupational Therapist, and a Clinic Administrator, working together in a highly collaborative environment.
The clinic delivers a varied caseload including ACC contracts, hospital-based rehabilitation, and early intervention services, offering real diversity in your clinical week.
On the leadership side, you will take ownership of HR responsibilities, P&L performance, and local marketing initiatives, helping grow services, strengthen referral relationships, and drive strong outcomes for both clients and the business.
In this role, you will:
Deliver high-quality, client-centred OT services
Lead, coach, and support a small multidisciplinary team
Build a positive, collaborative clinic culture
Oversee daily operations and clinic performance outcomes
Manage HR, financial (P&L), and marketing activities
Work with regional and national leaders on strategic priorities
Strengthen referral networks and stakeholder relationships
Support local service growth and development
You will be supported by an experienced Regional Clinic Manager and wider leadership team who are invested in your success and development.

Desired Skills and Experience
Are you ready to step up?
We are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist (4+ years clinical experience) with a strong understanding of ACC contracts to step into a leadership role within our team.
What you will bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy
Current Annual Practising Certificate, Professional Body Membership, and Indemnity Insurance
Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence
Strong communication skills and confident decision-making ability
Ability to build relationships and network with referrers and subcontractors to grow services
Understanding of the financial aspects of private practice and team leadership
Knowledge and appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
Strong organisation, problem-solving skills, and a positive, proactive attitude
Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning
A respectful, supportive approach with the ability to inspire others
Previous leadership or team management experience is an advantage (not essential)
